Nintendo switch console
I have always been a fan of Nintendo ever since I first owned a SNES, many many moons ago. My 13 year old son has followed suit and love everything Nintendo including the switch where he saved like crazy to be able to buy on the day it was released. The switch console is a sleeker design than the wii U, with a smaller tablet which act as a hand held console.
The tablet can be used as a gamepad of just to use as a portable console screen, perfect for travelling. On a recent holiday the kids sat and played games at the airport and on the aeroplane. The switch console was light to carry around and kept them entertained while travelling.
The console ranges slighty from different retailers but I would suggest shopping around for special deals on trade ins etc. You can get a new console for under $300. Its also worth hanging around for black friday sales if you intend to give this as a Christmas gift. Amazon has had some fab deals on consoles around that time.
